The ClimaCell weather app has been updated to let users know the best time to go outdoors for their favorite activities.
Users can choose from activities including running, fishing or dog walking and the app will indicate the best time with optimal weather.
Additional features include the amount of pollen in the air for users who are sensitive to pollen, and indicating the best time to go out based on their allergies.
Further health functions will be added this month including vascular diseases including migraines.
The new Activities function enables users to connect the Weather Assistant to their calendar and get updates if the weather changes.
It also shows current and future hyper-local weather, air quality, humidity, wind, cloudiness and visibility.
ClimaCell’s patented MicroWeather technology engine is powered by Weather of Things data, wireless signals, connected cars, airplanes, drones and Internet of Things devices.
Effie Arditi, chief product officer of ClimaCell, said, “We believe that people don’t care exactly about the actual weather conditions, but rather they care how they will be impacted personally. In other words, I don’t care that it’s going to rain today between 5pm and 6pm, but I do care if at this time window I will have the right conditions for my daily run: rain, humidity, air quality and more.”
