AccuWeather has announced it is expanding its free weather warnings services to US hospitals, medical facilities and public health agencies due to high demand as more than 150 medical facilities signed on to the pilot program launched initially in the hardest hit states impacted by the Coronavirus.
The AccuWeather SkyGuard severe weather warning service helps reduce weather-related risks to vulnerable, temporary structures established for Coronavirus testing and triage.
The specialized version of the warning service includes advanced warnings for the threat of lightning, wind gusts, flash flooding and tornadoes impacting temporary Coronavirus testing and triage sites.
These services will be increasingly important as the country continues to battle the Coronavirus pandemic in the coming weeks, and as AccuWeather meteorologists are expecting an increase in severe thunderstorms and tornadoes across parts of the US.
Hospitals and medical facilities can visit hospital.accuweather.com to sign up for the free service.
